- HOUSTON OILERS FOOTBALL

- CAPACITY: 62,439
- THE TRIP: Being a native Houstonian, I've gone to a few (6-8?) Oilers games before they left town and turned into the Tennessee Traitors ..... errr ..... Titans.
- IMPRESSIONS: Like many Houston Oilers (and Astros) fans, I had a love-hate relationship with my home stadium. The Astrodome was an ugly, smoke-filled, astroturfed nuisance but our teams played there, so we lived with it. Mostly the Oilers lost (every game I ever attended!) but they had a few exciting years.
- WE LOVED: The scoreboard with ancient graphics that lit up whenver the Oilers scored. The Houston Oilers Fight Song. A surprising number of Hall of Famers including Elvin Bethea (DE 1968-1983), Earl Campbell (RB 1978-1984), Dave Casper (TE 1980-1983), Bruce Matthews (G 1983-1996), Warren Moon (QB 1984-1993), Mike Munchak (G 1982-1993) and brilliant stars like Kenny Burroughs, Eddie George and Billy "White Shoes" Johnson. Luv Ya Blue!
